Jonah

Are you ready for a new chapter in your life? Sometimes, in order to move forward, in order to gain more and achieve that dream, or arrive at some certain point in life, you have to be willing to let go. Letting go sometimes can be a painful, breaking the habit and addiction can of-course really be hard and difficult, but it’s the winning way. The things that are behind you are not nearly as important as what is out in front of you. It is time to get ready for the new. It’s time to let go.

You will have to make a priority list. This is important, the other is not. You have to know what to let off along the journey so your boat doesn’t get to sinking point. We all have our “Jonah’s”, things we should let go off, somethings that shouldn’t be with us. Instead of allowing those things to hold you back, why don’t you believe, let go and take a step of faith into the new? You may be thinking how will I succeed when I let go: you have to stand up in faith knowing that bigger and better awaits you. If it’s not making you better, then it is not making you better. Let it go. It’s time to get renewed; it’s time to get a new, fresher outlook; it’s time to rise up with a new attitude. Instead of settling where you are, move forward. Have the attitude that says, “I may not understand it; it may not have been fair, but I am not getting stuck on this page. I know God has a new chapter for me — a chapter filled with blessings, favor and victory.”

No more

Someone once said, “Don’t let your heredity stop your destiny.” In other words, don’t let the way somebody treated you, or what they did or didn’t give you keep you from pressing forward and becoming all you can be.

We have all been raised by people with different addictions, passions and inclination. But the truth is those addictions and inclinations doesn’t have to be our future. It is time to break the negative cycle and the good news is you are the one to break that negative cycle. Your parents may have anger issues or even relational and financial issues, but you don’t have to keep letting that curse and set-back be passed from generation to generation. You can be the one to say, “No more.

This is a new day! I may have had an unfair past, but I am not going to have an unfair future. I know God put a blessing on me before anybody could put a curse, and I am not going to let my heredity stop my destiny.” Remember God with you is more than the world against you.

Today, know that God is for you. Seek Him with a humble heart and break free from the bondages of the past. When you choose to put Him first in your life, then nothing can stop you from arriving at your destination.

Beauty and Glory

You may be going through a tough time, which has now kept you sitting on the sidelines of life, too afraid to take a shot, too afraid to try again. God today says, “Arise and shine for your light has come”. ( Is 60:1) In other words, “it’s time to get back in the game.” It’s time for beauty and glory. It’s time you can walk in the dark without the fear of falling because the light shines on you. Maybe you have been betrayed by a friend, you don’t have to go through life lonely. Go out. You will find friends. New and even better friends. If you lost your job, don’t sit around complaining. Go out in search for another job. You will find it. When one door closes, God will always open another door, and this time bigger and better. You maybe facing a health issue. Don’t give up on life. Fight the sickness. Refuse to be discouraged. Refuse defeat no matter what the Doctors say. The glory is upon you. Activate your mind power and stay strong and remain a hard nut for the sickness.

As you do your part, God will do His part. He will give you a new life. That means He will restore your health, give you new opportunities, new relationships. He will give you a new perspective. You will see that even though life may have caused you severe pains, it is not just the end. Even though life has been unfair, it is not over. There is still life after the sickness, life after the bad break. A full life is still in front of you. Today, arise and let God’s glory shine all over you. Your future is greater than your past. Glory to Jesus.

Goodness and kindness

There are spiritual qualities that manifest in our lives when we allow God work in us. Scripture in Galatians 5, describes them as fruits of the Holy Spirit. When we allow God into our lives and follow His words, those characteristics will manifest in us.

Goodness and kindness, are two of those fruit of the Spirit. The Bible tells us that His Kindness leads people to repentance (Rom 2:4). In other words, kindness advances the Kingdom of God. The more good and kind we are, the more God-like we become. The Bible also tells us that what we sow, we shall reap (Gal 6:7). When we seek to do good to others, we will reap goodness in our own lives in return.

Today, look for ways to be good and kind to the people around you even when they are not kind to you – “See that none of you repays another with evil for evil, but always aim to show kindness and seek to do good to one another and to everybody.” (1 Thess 5:15). Do not repay evil for evil. Bless those who wrongfully use you. Seek to do good, show kindness, and you will see it come back as a blessing in your own life in return.
